Feeders and troughs

A gravity bin feeder is a feeder for ad libit feeding of fodder mixture as loose or granulated material.

The fodder supply in the gravity bin feeder is set by setting the height of the telescopic tube opening (for automated filling, the fodder is supplied with a conveyor). AGRICO, s.r.o. installs these gravity bin feeders to work with the GRIMATE Chain Fodder Conveyor or AGRISPIR Spiral Conveyor.

Where the feeder is not supplied using a conveyor, it can be filled manually and the attendant then decides on the contained fodder capacity.  The amount of fodder to be fed from the feeder is controlled with a slide gate, which is part of the gravity bin feeder. This brings savings as additional fodder is not released continually but only after the previous fodder has been eaten off.

·       double-sided

A gravity bin feeder is situated depending on what model it is:

·       single-sided (to be placed to the side railing or wall)

·       double-sided (to be placed in the partitioning structure so it can be used by animals from both stalls
